John has been a news photographer for most of his life and has been published in numerous newspapers and magazines around the world as a staff photographer for The Associated Press. In 1993 he was a runner-up for the Pulitzer Prize. In 1994 he was wounded by sniper fire in the Occupied Gaza Strip. Currently he freelances between fine art shows.
